e.l.f Mineral Lipsticks in Pouty Petal & Rosy Raisin - Review Swatches

Its been quite a long time since I last undated my blog and this post is long over due.You must have read quite a lot of reviews of e.l.f mineral lipsticks by now. I bought them a few months back, I just wanted to try them so I picked up the colors that received raved reviews. Packaging is very nice, simple black tube with "e.l.f " written on the top of the cap.
Left: Pouty Petal , Right: Rosy Raisin
(Without Flash)Left:Rosy Raisin, Right:Pouty Petal        (With Flash) Top: Rosy Raisin, Bottom: Pouty Petal
Rosy Raisin is a sheer cool toned pinky brown with a hint of silver, the fine silver shimmer is almost unnoticeable on lips.
Pouty Petal is a sheer cool toned pink with gold shimmer, shimmer is very fine but noticeable on lips.

These lipsticks has the same feel that maybelline mineral lipsticks had, smooth and light weight...both colors are very sheer and very similar.I have to rub them on my lips to get some color. They glide on very smoothly almost like a lip balm. Staying power is average. Once the lipsticks are opened they should be used within 6 months, ingredients and other details are mentioned on the box of the lipsticks, each e.l.f lipstick contain 3.8 grams of product.

don't have dry and chapped lips but when I take off these lipsticks my lips feel dry and chapped,I don't mind it because I don't wear same lipsticks everyday. Each lipstick was £3.5 when I bought them from UK website now they are available for £.5  , and you can choose from 16 colors.(prices are different in different countries) Check out e.l.f UK website HERE to view more colors of e.l.f mineral lipsticks.

Have you tried any mineral lipsticks from e.l.f...Its a good product and worth trying out!

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Shine Gelee Lipsticks [Review,Swatches]

Most of my lipsticks are pink so these two colors really stands out in my lipstick collection. Not just the colors but the packaging and quality as well!

Here is an idea of what L'Oreal says "Color Riche Shine Gelee is enriched with Royal jelly, Shea butter, its conditioning formula nourishes and hydrates like a balm and shine like a gloss, the formula reflects light like a crystal for a shimmery shine effect with a non sticky finish"

LOreal Color Riche Shine Gelee Lipstick in 104 Pretty peach
L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in 400 sheer papaya

I have two colors of Color Riche Shine Gelee Lipsticks sheer papaya and pretty peach,
I tested all colors before I bought these two...this range has some gorgeous colors for all skin tones, all of these lipsticks are very shiny and smooth and a moisturizing look and feel to them. The amount of glitter/shimmer is different in each lipstick.Few of them appears to have a clear shine. Color Riche Shine Gelee are unexpectedly very pigmented for a glossy lipstick.Staying power is average and the lipsticks feel light weight and comfortable on lips.
Pretty Peach is a pretty coral-y peachy color (how many times you hear pinky peachy...now you are introduced to coral-y peachy) this color has some serious golden glitters....very chunky and sparkly, I don't see it as a day wear lipstick...its a glamorous color and really stands out.

Sheer papaya is a warm peach( its a little bit more deeper  and pigmented than it shows in the picture).I wear it more often because it really suits my skin.It has peachy-golden shimmer and it is more pigmented, long lasting and less glossy than pretty peach...perfect for medium dark skin.

Now the sad part is that...If I am not mistaken these lipsticks are discontinued,I don't see them anywhere on L'Oreal official website:(  probably these are replaced with L'Oreal Rouge Caresse  Lipsticks. If you live in Pakistan than you don't have to worry since the stock is full of these lippies...if you feel like buying a few for you after this review...go grab some for yourself:) I paid Rs.1100 for each lipstick,I think these are now sold for Rs.1400,
Have a nice Sunday girls!

17 shine control loose powder & mirror shine lipstick.

A dear friend visiting Great Britain bought both things for me :) of course I paid for everything, after a few buys my friend got a 5 pound voucher to spend on 17 products, he already got my mirror shine lipsticks so he called me asking what else I want ...I thought its a good chance of trying out something new.

17 shine control loose powder is a micro fine translucent powder to help control shine break thorigh.it is oil free dermatological tested, fragrance free which is great.

The powder is translucent so I guess it will suit all skin tones...the powder is very smooth, matte. Packaging is very basic nothing fancy...the size of the holes are appropriate enough and it doesn't dispose off a lot product at once.the packaging is deceiving I thought the whole jar is full of powder but it was only half full or half empty!! later I realized its nothing to nit pick,I use a little amount of this product and its going to last me a long time.

It does an amazing job controlling shine on my face, because I have oily skin and it completely mattifies my face without making my complexion look very flat.I never got any breakouts, I absolutely love this product..its the best setting powder for oily skin that I have ever used:)
How cute mirror shine lipsticks look...flashy little lippies...the packaging though is not good quality.Mirror shine lipsticks are very very sheer even the brightest shade looks very sheer on lips.I love sheer lipsticks.if you don't than you might not like them at all.Belle is my favorite color,it looks dark in the tube but its a sheer pink color.it adds so much shine on my lips, its smooth and glossy, but the staying power is below average,I find my self reapplying it alot.I know these aren't the best lipsticks out there, but the clear luxurious shine, smoothness makes me want to wear this lipsticks again and again, this is the kind of texture I like...this is my second Belle and I am going to try out more colors from this range.when ever I wear this lipstick I usually get compliments:)
Excuse me for the blurry picture...this one really captured the true color of the lipstick:)

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

This is not a recent purchase.I bought Moisture Renew lipsticks in Heather shimmer and Nude Delight quite a long time back but never mention them on my blog,I think it deserve a review.I might not like the colors I got but I can't avoid the fact how nice these lipsticks are,I wanted to add some new and different colors in my lipstick collection,Heather shimmer is a pretty color but Nude Delight is too nude for me.

Packaging: I absolutely adore the packaging flashy metallic purple and the crown logo on top of the cap.the cap fits tightly and doesn't have a chance of slipping in your hand bag.
Texture and Coverage: I swatched all of the lipsticks (available at the display,14 shades I remember) and all of them were very pigmented, but the texture are different...some are more creamy with a lovely sheen some are moisturizing and clear glossy ...a couple of the lippies had some shimmer. they do feel a little heavy on lips because it has SPF18.
Price& Availability: In Paksitan these are available at most super markets,I got mine from Imtiaz super market Karachi for Rs.640. I've noticed that prices are different at some stores...it ranges between Rs.640 to Rs.720.
For international readers you can get them under $7.take a look at Rimmel London Website
My Thoughts: most of the colors in this range are very pretty and they would most definitely suit all skin tones except Nude Delight.Heather Shimmer is a deep shade and I am really not sure how to describe the color..its not that I am bad at describing colors its just that its a very confusing color... sometimes it looks more like a deep mauve with brown undertones...I guess its because of the shimmer that changes the color of its appearance.Nude delight is a peachy nude....its like a concealer on my lip....I never wear it alone.I always top it with a gloss or another lipstick.I don't know what was I thinking when I bought this color. Both lipsticks are heavily pigmented and very creamy,Nude Delight has a clear sheen and Heather Shimmer is a little shimmery and frosty.

I personally dont like the scent of this.and its not the kind of smell that fades away after an hour.it stays as long as the lipstick is on lips.its the only thing I dont like in them.

I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a nice and good quality plus affordable lipstick, Moisture Renew lipsticks are probably the best reasonably priced lipsticks in Pakistan...good packaging and pigmentation,it has SPF 18 and 4g of product, long lasting and moisturizing and it has vitamin A,C,E to nourish the lips....and of course a good color collection.

I know its been so many days,I am going to announce the winner of my last giveaway tomorrow on Facebook.

Clinique Chubby Stick (Woopin' watermelon,Review,swatches)

Here is a review of the product that i am absolutely loving,my go to lip color nowadays..... its Clinique "Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm in Woopin' Watermelon".

Product Concept: Clinique Chubby stick is a super nourishing lip balm with mango and shea butter for dry delicate lips, available in 8 natural looking lip colors, each with a subtle sheen.view shades here.
price in US $.15.00, UK.£14.00. ( I have not seen this product in Pakistan)

Packaging,Formula,Coverage,Texture: Chubby stick comes in a standard floral Clinique box,it is a fat(chubby) pen and each lip balm is colored to match the lip product inside it.it has a silver top and bottom, when you twist the end more product comes out.
the lip balm contains Shea butters and mango so its a treat for your lips,it is 100% fragrance free and allergy tested, the texture is smooth,it is not super glossy and applies easily, single coat gives a nice tint to lips.each chubby stick contains 3g lip balm.

My Thoughts: I really don't like lip balms which comes in messy jars and you have to dip you fingers inside to get some out and i don't even enjoy using standard medicated lip balms in boring tubes...so this product really caught my attention, the chubby tube is so pretty and easy to use.i really enjoy the formula because it glides on easily and it doesn't feel heavy ... i love weightless products on my lips.
Surprisingly the color pay off is good,i thought that it would be a tint but is shows up quite nicely...it will pick up your lip color so if your lips are pale, woopin' watermelon wont show up on you more than a tint.its staying power is another surprising factor...even if i drink and eat the tint of color and smoothness lasts(of course most of the sheen and color wears off) when the product is removed it leaves my lips feeling soft..i was disappointed at my choice of color because its just another light pink in my collection,i wish i had ordered any other color than this...but it doesn't mean its not a pretty pink,i am not sure about the coverage and texture of the other lip colors from this range, but the coverage of woopin' watermelon is impressive.i read some reviews saying its very glossy...i think the gloss/sheen is very decent.

My only object is the price...i think it is expensive because it has only 3g product less than an average lipstick/balm other than that i love it.

I would recommend it (if you don't mind the price) and i would love to repurchase it in another color.

What do you think of this cute chubby sticks have you tried it! and what is your favorite lip product nowadays:),my first blog giveaway is coming soon so keep your fingers crossed:)

A Must Have Pink Lipstick....

I have been searching for a perfect pink and finally i got one... L'Oreal Color Riche Made For Me (Naturals) in Sunset Blush 257.I love the concept behind this range..there is a shade for every skin color so you wont be coming home without getting one for yourself.i have used two other shades from the same collection quite a long time back when these were pretty new in the market,my sister bought a travel kit... those were gorgeous colors but too light and nude for my skin tone but i loved the packaging and the texture.recently i went to Naheed Super Market and i got this one.L'oreal Paris Color Riche Made For Me is distributed in Naturals,Intense,Boosting Serum and Universal Lip Glow...its quite a selection.

PACKAGING: the lipstick comes in a subtle gold casing...it doesn't say how much grams it has but the tube is pretty big..it must be 4g.my lipstick had two nasty stickers on it so i sprayed some deodorant and with the stickers the golden color of the casing also came off and the cap now looks silver and golden:)
TEXTURE OF THE LIPSTICK: i have also used two other shades from this range including this one so i can tell that the texture varies from shade to shade...Sunset Blush is made for Dark Brunettes and has a very smooth, moisturizing texture,it doesn't feel heavy on lips and the sheen is clear it doesn't have any shimmers and glitters.the other two i used had shimmers in them.it has a lovely fragrance which is actually unnoticeable once the lippy is applied on lips.
MY THOUGHTS: the title of this post already gives an idea of how much i like the lippy...these lipstick have a great staying power.this medium pink will suit almost all skin colors.the sheen is gorgeous.it doesn't transfer as dark on the lips as it looks in the tube.the color is buildable.single coat is sheer and two coats provide full coverage and medium pink shade.i think its a high end lipstick at a drugstore price...i don't exactly remember the price but i guess i paid between Rs.1100 -Rs.1400 and $8 to $9. check out some other colors on their website HERE  swatches on the website are disappointing though.
have you tried any of these lipsticks..i think L'Oreal Made For Me are pretty under rated.
